Fall Face; Fabulous Fearless Feminine
I needed a little inspiration to get back in the spirit of "caring what I look like" now that summer is over. It's time to put away the ball caps, sunglasses and palm straws. Which means that slapping tinted moisturizer (SPF of course!) and a little mascara on, was no longer cutting it for my daily makeup regime. With the season coming to an end, my resume and job description are getting revamped, so my look needs to too! Now that I'll be working with human beings again and not primarily my four legged clients and critter lovers, I should smooth out some of these edges. To get my fired up about getting dolled up, I searched my most reliable source of unbiased, woman’s propaganda… aka Cosmo.

My personal favorites are the feathered brows, rich dark lips and lush lashes.
I chose to make those three the prominent features by keeping the rest of the look neutral.
I used my favorite Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation in Honey Beige and Arbonne CC Cream in Medium to create an even glowing complexion. I dusted Arbonnes' Bronzer along my cheekbones and opted out of blush to create a lightly contoured look, without being too "done".
I wanted bold, feathery but natural looking eyebrows and began by swiping a little Arbonne Sheer Glow Highlighter just below the arch and along the top of my outer wing to emphasize the shape. Then I used Smashbox Matte Brow Pencil in Taupe, starting on the inner corner and drawing in short hair like strokes towards the arch. I finished with the tail from the arch back in shorter thinner strokes. Using an angled brush I blended out the strokes to create a soft natural shape. To set my brows and emphasize the feathered look, I swiped my Arbonne Brow Gel wand across both in the direction of the hair. The wand is like a mascara wand which allows me to comb and set my brows with the clear gel.
For my eyes I used my favorite Arbonne Holiday Baked Eye Shadow Palette in Sugar Plum. This four shade palette was a great investment. I use all four colors all the time, but for this look focused on Gingersnap and Ganache. Dusting Gingersnap across my lid and into the crease generously, then lining my lower lash line with an angled brush starting at the center of my eye. Ganache is a darker shadow and layers wonderfully, so I started on my top lash line with an angled brush at the inside corner and got thicker and darker as I worked my way out. On my lower lash line I concentrated only on the outside quarter, to create depth. Then I used a wider brush to go back into the crease again, focusing on the outer quarter. I completed the look by blending from the inside corner out all the way along the crease.
I wanted my lush lashes to be the focal point of my eyes so I decided not to use a liquid liner on top and generously apply several coats of Arbonnes It's a Long Story Mascara in Black. This mascara is my go to. I'm blessed to have naturally long, thick lashes, Thank God, because I cannot apply falsies to save my life. My lashes are however very blonde, so I like to really coat them to create the definition and drama that I want. This mascara is a dream to layer. The brush allows you to fully coat and fan your lashes to their optimum length and volume without clumping. The formula itself is moisturizing and conditioning, which helps my lashes grow and prevents breakage, making them longer and lusher than any other product I've used. Also, I should mention as a contact wearer that I have extremely sensitive eyes and am prone to watering and itching from most mascaras. Which is why, this is my one and only love.
Finally for my rich, dark lip, I combine two Arbonne Smoothed Over Lipstick colors; Hibiscus and Poppy. I began with Hibiscus the darker of the two and a lip brush to line my lips. I then applied Poppy to the inside half of my lips and brushed to blend the color out.
This look was glamorous without feeling pretentious and took me less than ten minutes.
